Thank You For Attending Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025
On behalf of AMET, ATM, MA, NAMA, and NANAMIC, we would like to extend our warmest gratitude to everyone who joined us at Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025. The conference brought together over 300 mathematics educators, advisers, and researchers for three extraordinary days of professional development, collaboration, and inspiration.
Held at the Holywell Park Conference Centre in Loughborough from 14th to 16th April, this year's joint conference exceeded all expectations. The theme of preparing mathematics education for the future resonated throughout every keynote, workshop, and informal conversation.
Conference Highlights
Our three keynote speakers delivered thought-provoking presentations that challenged us to reconsider how we approach mathematics teaching. Catherine Boulton's exploration of mathematical futures, Charlie Stripp's vision for future-proofing maths education, and Rob Eastaway's engaging session on mental arithmetic left delegates buzzing with ideas to take back to their classrooms and institutions.
With over 70 workshops and breakout sessions, delegates had the opportunity to craft personalised learning journeys. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the quality of sessions and the value of connecting with fellow professionals face-to-face.
Looking Ahead
As you may know, the five mathematics subject associations have now merged to form the Association for Mathematics in Education (AMiE). This historic development means that future conferences will be organised under this unified banner, bringing even greater opportunities for collaboration across the mathematics education community.
We encourage all attendees to complete the post-conference feedback survey if you haven't already. Your insights help us shape future events and ensure we continue to meet the needs of mathematics educators across the UK.
Save the Date
Planning is already underway for the 2026 conference. Details will be announced in the coming months through AMiE channels. We hope to see many familiar faces – and plenty of new ones – at next year's event.
Thank you once again for making Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025 such a memorable and impactful gathering. Together, we are shaping the future of mathematics education.
