AMET, ATM, MA, NAMA, and NANAMIC are pleased to welcome you to the joint Conference of Mathematics Subject Associations taking place from 14 to 16 April 2025. The conference will be held at Holywell Conference Centre in Loughborough, with the central theme of 'Future Proofing the Curriculum'.
This collaborative event brings together members from all five professional associations, along with non-members, creating an exceptional opportunity to discover fresh perspectives and establish meaningful professional connections. The environment is designed to stimulate discussion and encourage direct interaction among mathematics educators.
Participants will gain direct insight into current developments within mathematics education and draw inspiration from the diverse programme of sessions assembled through this collaborative effort.
Attendees can choose from an outstanding array of workshops and presentations to craft a personalised programme of professional learning and enrichment of the highest calibre. Hear from our keynote speakers and explore the full conference programme.
Early career teachers: The London Mathematical Society is offering discounted bursary places for ECTs to attend this conference.
As mathematics educators continue to seek innovative approaches to support student wellbeing, an unexpected ally has emerged in the fight against maths anxiety: therapy dogs. Schools across the United Kingdom are increasingly welcoming specially trained canines into classrooms, with breeds like the Goldendoodle proving particularly popular due to their gentle temperament and hypoallergenic qualities.
The presence of therapy dogs during mathematics lessons represents one of several creative interventions schools are adopting to address what researchers have identified as a significant barrier to mathematical achievement.
On behalf of AMET, ATM, MA, NAMA, and NANAMIC, we would like to extend our warmest gratitude to everyone who joined us at Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025. The conference brought together over 300 mathematics educators, advisers, and researchers for three extraordinary days of professional development, collaboration, and inspiration.
Held at the Holywell Park Conference Centre in Loughborough from 14th to 16th April, this year's joint conference exceeded all expectations. The theme of preparing mathematics education for the future resonated throughout every keynote, workshop, and informal conversation.
We are pleased to announce that the complete programme for Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025 is now available. With support from our headline sponsor AQA, this year's conference features an exceptional range of sessions designed to inspire and equip mathematics educators for the challenges ahead.
The programme includes over 70 workshops, presentations, and discussion sessions spread across the three days at Holywell Park Conference Centre. Whether you're a classroom teacher, department head, adviser, or teacher educator, you'll find sessions tailored to your interests and professional development needs.
We are delighted to announce that the London Mathematical Society (LMS) is offering discounted bursary places for early career teachers (ECTs) to attend Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers in the early stages of their careers to experience a major professional development event at a significantly reduced cost.
The bursary provides a £200 discount off the full residential conference package, making attendance much more accessible for those who might otherwise struggle to fund professional development opportunities.
We are thrilled to reveal the three distinguished keynote speakers who will headline Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025. Each brings a unique perspective on the future of mathematics education, and we are confident their presentations will inspire and challenge delegates in equal measure.
