LMS Bursaries Available For Early Career Teachers
We are delighted to announce that the London Mathematical Society (LMS) is offering discounted bursary places for early career teachers (ECTs) to attend Future Proofing The Curriculum 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers in the early stages of their careers to experience a major professional development event at a significantly reduced cost.
The bursary provides a £200 discount off the full residential conference package, making attendance much more accessible for those who might otherwise struggle to fund professional development opportunities.
What the Bursary Covers
Successful bursary recipients will receive:
- £200 reduction on full residential participation
- Three days of immersive professional development
- Two nights' accommodation at The Link Hotel, including dinner, bed, and breakfast
- Shuttle transport between the hotel and conference venue
- Full access to all keynote sessions, workshops, and networking events
Eligibility Criteria
Priority will be given to early career teachers who:
- Are current members of one of the five Mathematical Subject Associations (AMET, ATM, MA, NAMA, or NANAMIC)
- Have not previously attended a mathematics subject association conference
- Can articulate how they will benefit from the experience
- Are willing to share their reflections after the conference
Why Apply?
Attending a national conference early in your teaching career can be transformative. You'll have the opportunity to hear from leading experts in mathematics education, discover new teaching approaches and resources, and build a network of supportive colleagues who share your passion for mathematics teaching.
Previous ECT attendees have described the conference as "career-changing" and "incredibly inspiring". Many have gone on to become regular conference participants and active members of the mathematics education community.
How to Apply
Full details about the bursary application process are available on our bursaries page. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage interested teachers to apply as early as possible to secure their place.
If you have questions about the bursary or your eligibility, please don't hesitate to contact the conference organisers.
